Does anyone in here ride a recumbent bike for fitness? I know all the fitness experts in here already know the benefits of the recumbent trainers but i was surprised how well the bikes condition your leg muscles(especially your hamstrings and glutes). Ever since I picked up a recumbent trike earlier this summer I noticed a stark improvement in my hamstring strength and overall endurance as well as. I was feeling muscles I never felt on an upright. I have been riding it just about every day after work at the metro park next to me and completed a 100 mile trek 2 weeks ago on the towpath trail in Ohio. I also picked up a bosu trainer recently. I am hoping this translates into being a lot more conditioned for skiing this year. I am relatively new to skiing and last year my lower body conditioning wasn't up to par.
