I have aquired a pair of race stock rc4 gs skis from last year's lineup. I need to put a binding on them but am concerned with the 55mm height maximum that USSA and FIS has implaced. I am able to get a super good deal on a pair of marker comp 1400s with the piston plate. (Piston is underfoot and there is a switch to turn it on or off.) My other alternative is to mount a pair of comp 1400s flat on the plate fischer provided on the ski. I would like to get the stack height as high as possible by doing the double plate. (This greatly improves handling in tight courses as you can get a quicker edge and a higher angle.) Does anybody know if this setup would break the 55mm rule?
