snowboard bevel angles

no that i've finihsed tuning all my skiis befor the season i'm gogin to tune my snowboards and i was wondering what bevel angle to put on them....? side and base, whats the factory do.? i have 2 liquid boards 1 burton and 1 santacruz

Check the Tognar website. The catalog has a list of maufactuers recommendations for ski bevels and I do recall seeing some snowboard info too.

1 & 1 or 1 & 2 for the most part.
Racers would up the side edge angle to 3 or 4.

burton is always 1/1.

i usually set 1/2 from the first own tune on. thats about all you will need.

on a board there is rarely a need to be an acute edge. Most people will just tune to 90 degrees (since all your weight is focused on one edge) wether using 1 and 1, 2 and 2, or 3, and 3. The biggest thing is how good a boarder are you, and what are you using the boards for. Beginer boarders can often benefit from a 3 & 3 (easier to turn, less grabby), park riders will often use either 2 & 2 or 3 & 3 for sliding rails and boxes. Advanced riders and riders who are on ice a fair amount will often tune 1 & 1.
