Who's with me this weekend?

I'm thinking about getting the box outta the basement and onto the Soobie. I might try to get to VT the week before T-givings, but I can still only hope.
I been out in the garage playing with skis, mounting them and making knockers.

I just picked up the new boots and remounted skis.

I was too impatient to wait until tomorrow to get my ski bags and the bigger truck.

I will be at Killington this weekend -- either hiking or riding the lifts. PM me if you want to hook up! huckingfellers and I are discussing this as well via PM.

I may be in Portland on Saturday so if Wildcat opens I might hit it on Sunday.

Of course my plans may change depending on the possible openings.

I don't have a pack to hike with otherwise I would since my 1080s are light.

That's one impressive quiver! I hope you get to use it this weekend. Our glimpse of winter has been interrupted with a sunny high of 60 forecasted for Sunday. Maybe one last golf round.

Thanks but I think my quiver is considered child's play to alot of other Bears.

I played golf last Saturday up in NH and it was cold.

I will keep an eye on the weather and see if it is worth $30 to share a slush pile with other diehards.

The Atomics are not touching snow until they can groom in November.

The 1080s are our kick around, bump and tree skis anyway and they can take a beating on the bases.

People at work are like, "Why do you need 6 pairs of skis?"

It's sad when I think in my head that 6 is not nearly enough.

I have two pair of skis and that really seems to cover most of my bases. I could add maybe 2 more pairs of skis to fill in some holes-soft powder ski, softer ski for the bumps. Still they are small holes to cover. I just do not understand the utility of so many skis for a recreational skier. Now if I were to add teleskis or AT that would open up a whole new set of needs. Still I think two well choosen skis would fit the needs of most nonprofessional skiers.

Agreed, I have K2 Apache Recon's and then there's my rock-hoppers. That covers it for me, not over-efficiently but it keeps the wife from complaining about the cost.

There website says they are going to and I just got an email newsletter from them stating they will be open tomorrow through Sunday.

Not sure if it will last that long.

Looking at some of the latest long range forecasting and models, there's definitely a part of me that thinks a lot of this stuff is just going to end up melting with most resorts just starting up usual snow making come mid November or so once it cools down some more...

I think it will be good early season skiing today but tomorrow will be slushy and Sunday will be crap.

Probably not worth it for $30.

They haven't updated the website today so we'll see what it looks like later.
