Hey there SSH and others,
Got a couple queries on your suggestions if I may.
I ski primarily in the Sierra Nevada and this results in a wide variety of terrain and tons of heavy crud. I am currently on a K2 XP (115-78-105) and worry about some skiis (Elan S12)ability to handle the heavy porridge we call snow at speed. Now their M777 looks interesting but not much in the archives on the ski.
Can you enlighten to me as to what Nordica Speedmachines you were recommending? I thought they were geared to carving instead of all-mountain expert terrain?
Do you know how the Legend 8000 compares to the XP's modern equivelent the Apache Recon? I will research this one. Thanks for the heads up
The RX-9 looks interesting but I worry about its dimensions (109/69/96) for floating through the heavy muck we have. What do you think?
The Atomic Metron M11 looks a little weak in the knees for me judging by the reviews I have read here. If I can find a pair of M5's (not sure they are out there) that sounds interesting. What about the M:ex? Many say its a tank which is somewhat of a concern for me at 140 pounds.
So I need (from last years stock, not brand new models)a Sierra (wind blown boilerplate mixed with heavy, wet, crud) All mountain expert ski to replace my aging XP's. As always thanks for help.
