just to clarify, i wasn't suggesting abandoning snow making, it has it's place and i enjoy it for many reasons as do many skiers regardless of their snow preference. snow making is vital to nearly every ski area regardless of natural snow fall or lack thereof. but you can never have those classic runs back once they turn to the dark side. my point was merely that something should be left natural, that the proverbial pendelum has swayed too far to one side of the issue and many natural snow trails are facing elimination in an effort for resorts to claim the magic '98%' snow making number or whatever. a place like magic certainly could use more juice on it's main trails for example of an area in need of more snow making that cators heavily to natural snow skiers.
