So, Who's going skiing this weekend?

There is going to be some accumulation in the Greens and Whites. Who is going to be able to enjoy it?

I certainly intend to keep a close eye on accumulations at Killington. So long as they keep getting snow and not rain, I'll be there. Earn a few turns

I am skiing in 5 hours in the Laurel Highlands, 9 inches of snow up there so far.

It'll be a wet snow. Perhaps it will freeze which won't make easy skiing. Perhaps it will melt if the sun comes out and the temps rise. It'll be fun if you climb a hill and start to get your ski legs back, but it won't last. I wouldn't get all hyped up by hypertext and drive a long way for it. You prabably won't be too happy. I went skating yesterday. I tried figure skates for the first time in my long life. Consequently combining the early season ethusiasm with an unfamiliar piece of equipment, I tripped and fell.

Sorry, Eastern skiers, I've skied the last TWO weekends.

If the snow is wet it will have to freeze to be skiable. There is no base. If it does freeze, skiing could be fun. Killington will blow on top and that will make it even better. It has to be cold though and that may not happen. But if it does, I'll be right down front.

I to will be at Killington this weekend ; lifts turning or not. I will hike it all day long !!

We are still mountain biking around here. The technical sections are more demanding with all the wet leaves and roots, but we shall milk that for all it's worth until the snow flies.

Did you ever get kicked off the mountain before? Can you do this at a smaller ski area? I always wanted to but I didn't know if it was trespassing or would piss off the management.

I'll be at A-Basin or Loveland.
I bet Loveland will be better than Killington. But will be stronger having skiied Killington!

Killington is not exactly a small ski area. But i have been kicked off the mountain and offered some warm drink in years past. Big enough place where I dont have to be seen if I dont want to be seen!

Why would K-Mart care if we hike for the goods? Are they just worried about lawsuits in case "earn your turns" skiers get hurt?

If I go, I was going to just walk right up the side of Superstar. All kinds of goodies available from the top of that. I might have to rethink that idea.

Hell, I'll meet ya there if we get booted we'll get booted together then well just have to not be seen as we still ascend from a different point and not be seen this time.

huckingfellers -- let me know what your plans are via PM. I wouldn't mind some "poaching" company. My rock skis are waxed up and ready to go!
