Budget Ski Pants

Thread Starter
Can anyone recommend some budget/low cost Ski pants that are decent. I am going skiing for the first time this year. I live in Georgia and probably
will not go often so i'm not looking to spend a fortune. Obviously being a southerner I want to stay warm..

Check out the Amazon.com link on our ski shop page:

For better selection quality check out the link to Backcountry.com on the same page.

Also worth a look is Campmor:

Go to www.sierratradingpost.com and search for Rawik. You should find some insulated pants or bibs in the $30 -$35 range. REI (www.rei.com) used to sell this brand, but I don't see them on REI's website. Also, if you live near any of the REI stores in GA, give them a call, and ask if they have that brand of pants. If not tell them what you're looking for and ask what they carry. They're pretty good and honest about matching you up with the right item in a situation like yours.

That brand is not top of the line, but it will get you through a season, and for $30 that's pretty good. Looking on eBay would be another alternative, but I doubt you'll find anything for less then $30.

Gloves for $15

You might also be interested in the Costco Gloves. http://forums.epicski.com/showthread...ghlight=costco

Someone said for $15, they're the best deal out there, that's very true. I was in a Costco store this afternoon, and picked up another pair.

there are some cheap snowboard pants here (http://www.sidewayspeople.com), pretty good selection below $100 and backcountryoutlet.com has some good deals too.

Mountain Uniform

Check out Mountain Uniform (http://mountainuniforms.com/). They make ski wear for professionals, their prices are very reasonable and the products are extremely well made with lots of extra features. I have both patroller jacket and pants and have been extremely pleased. I do not believe you have to be a professional to purchase pants from them.

L.L.Bean has very sturdy long wearing ski pants for $79. I have a pair for a few years.
