WaxesIf you still have your old waxes, perhaps you aren't skiing enough. Whatever, I have had two boxes of waxes in the past which I passed on to others. I plan on using my current waxes for a pair of Telemark skiis I picked up on E-bay this summer or a pair of downhill I have mounted with a quasi-AT set up. Futhermore, I was talking to a guy recently who runs a Junque store nearby about his personal collection of hand-made skiis. Perhaps I'll go back, try and get him to show them to me, and then weedle a pair from him. I want to use the pinetar for something!!!! Now that I am thinking about it, I could take my Mom's old DH skiis out and pine tar them for tele. I had put a good burr on my scraper and did bring the base down somewhat on one of the skiis. When I read that new Wooden skiis usually had a coat of varnish which had to be scraped off, I went at it with pre-season enthusiasm. A bit miffed, I decided to check the attic of the shop where I found them. Sure enough they still have one pair left. Nevertheless, I'ld love to get my hands on a newly made pair of wooden skiis. Any suggestions?
