Let's move all the threads

I think most of the moved threads (why so many on the first page??) could certainly have remained in the 'main' forum, as they can reasonably be described as 'general ski discussion'. Some could certainly benefit people who would not otherwise check the other sections.
Why so trigger happy? (I wonder where this one will get moved to.)

Since I navigate the site by going to "new posts" I don't really know what you're saying. Can you elaborate?

I do see many threads being posted in the wrong sections. I think the "powers to be" are doing a great job. keep up the good work.

I agree. Posts about gear, travel questions, etc. are best posted in the sections reserved for them.

The crazy thing is, you can still click on the link to read the post! Wow, who woulda thunk it.

This thread is the perfect example....It is in the WRONG SECTION.

If the threads got bumped when people posted you might have a point. The rest of you are just wrong, except for Shen.

The thread was moved, classic--either someone's got a better sense of humor than I gave them credit for, or the shepherds are really round the bend.

I don't see what is so hard about posting in the proper area... :

Not everyone that posts has a comprehensive grasp of this URL. Only the dedicated regulars do. Many people are looking for a good mix of responses and that can be better found on the General Board. I can see moving a thread after some time on the General board. Then if someone is looking to add more in a specialized way, then they can search for it. However, I don't like the fact that some messages, one's that are strictly of a personal nature i.e. identifying various posters by attempting to give their legal name are allowed to remain on the forum. Personally attacks should be looked at closely and eliminated. There's a definite tendancy here for some to revert to personal attacks when their ideas are attacked. Then there also has been a tendency amongst administrators to ban those who attack ideas in controversial ways. All of this makes for a rather crude and amaturistic forum.

The various sections of the forum were created in response to the growth in use of the forum.

Why DON'T you read some parts of what's here? Imagine if all the stuff you avoid were included in one "general" message board. That's what would be here if it had been left undivided.

Messages about equipment belong in the gear section. Messages about the forum belong in the community and administration section. And so on.

You ARE provided with a way to scan all new messages without having to go to each section.

Quitchyer bichin. Here we have people complaining about how the owners of a service they use for free are organizing it. Man, how lame is that?

Thank the owners and operators. Constructive ideas are one thing, but whining is something else.

SB--since the description under the "General" section says it is for "anything ski-related," you have a very valid point.

I hereby suggest to the forum administrators that the description for "General" be changed to something like "anything ski-related that does not fit in another section." And then continue to do exactly as you do! Great work, as always!

Best regards,
Bob Barnes

Do you really need everything explained to you multiple times?:

Don't you think the sticky from Weems on that page would be better suited to the ski instruction area? Guess they overlooked that one. Wonder why...But I know that the sheep here think their infallible moderators are, well, infallible. Whatever.
