and order the World Cup true bar. This is the only way to accurately measure the base edge angle. All base edge angles in their correct form should measure no less than .5 degree,and no greater than 1.0 degree. It's a very good idea to stare at a millimeter stick for a while and aquaint your eye with just how big 1mm really is. Now cut that in half, which equates to approximately .5 degree over a distance of 6mm of true bar. This means that after you close the gap of light off over the base edge, the bar should be no less than .5mm off the base! The only manufacturer's to successfully get anywhere close to this out of the wrapper is Atomic and Rossignol, but that doesn't happen to every ski. Rossi's side edge angle is generally around .5 degree and leaning towards 1.0 degree once in a while. I recommend a side edge re-tune to 2 or 3 degree, so one may fully enjoy their product.
The only way to know is to look. Never take someone's word for it without the visual proof to back it up!
