TCS-Skier Hall of Fame

If I did not know that TCS abhores such human recognition, I would nominate him for the Skier Hall of Fame. I know however, as truly enlightened as he is, that he needs no recognition from the average "neophyte" ski instructor.

The video he made available to those unlightened few in his previous post was absolutely AMAZING! My 8 year old was in awe of the hand and arm movements. I painfully had to admit to him my error in teaching him a "quiet" upper body and effecient biomechanical movements. It was hard for me to admit, but I have been stifling his growth and the growth of my students for years. When I have performed 360 pivot slips, I have focused on edging and balance. But it is clear from the video that I was wasting my time. Fore and aft balance is merely a state of mind, and what would appear to the limited intellect to be horribly out of balance, is merely a skill set way beyond my ability.

It is also very clear that a terrible injustice was perpetrated on this forum. It is clear that whether you call it "waisteering", "tai chi skiing", or whatever, that TCS is clearly the most prominent and prolific "waisteerer" out there. He generates so much force and power from his core that he does not even need to use his feet or lower body at all. I am greatly rethinking everything I know about biomechanics.

I believe it is now time that TCS be given his own section on this forum. I for one can't get enough of his videos and his words of wisdom. Maybe he would be willing to write regular articles on skiing as he sees it. If he had his own section we would know right where to go to find him, rather than having his wisdom just randomly scattered throughout the rest of the forum. Just a thought, but I believe there would be a lot of support for having his words of wisdom located in one "easy to find" area.

And which Buddah were you refering to?

bi-weekly now?

We are meeting bi-weekly now? Is this in anticipation of the season so that we do not decide to take out our frustrations due to lack of snow on other non-deserving(term used loosely) individuals?

BTW, I am still awaiting a response...

Later

I like this, so I would know exactly how to avoid him!

He would be, in effect, killfiling himself.

Are you saying that you can only understand/appreciated Tai Chi in a Tai Chi forum, and skiing in a skiing forum? Partitioned little knowledge it is, no wonder you are so confused.

Thanks, but no thanks, Tai Chi Skiing is a principle, a technique, and a discipline all integrated together, the answer is in the doing, and luck has nothing to do with it.

Maybe it's because you know neither what is a good skiing, nor a good Tai Chi?

Really? What is yours?

Ah Master, now and understand, Tai Chi Skiing and Harald Harb, can it be, is it true? If I make the proper use of the force, I can discern that Tai Chi Skiing and the dark Sith Lord Harb are one and the same!

Avoid the threads he starts and the threads about him and you will see only an occasional post from TCS that you can easily skim or skip over. If people didn't contribute to the threads he starts or start threads about him, he wouldn't be such a big part of our community. I think he's a lot more fun the the stuffy coaches and instructors that belittle him. Obviously he generates more interest.

Amazing what the "ignore" button will do. I've applied it to Skiing Magazine since they changed their format. I didn't renew my subscription but they just keep sending it.:

So you think that bashing on an internet forum is of something useful?

Really? Just wonder what kind of learning you have really learned. Apparently little if you don't learn from your previous failures, no, your wasting time is your own doing that has nothing to with me, I only provide you a mirror for you to paint your face on.

The funny thing is you seem to. For someone who seems to think he is so enlightened and preach to us ignorant masses from on high it's curious the time you spend down here with us sniping about drivel.

I'll tell you what doesn't make good skiing. Blowing your own horn and I'm guessing that's what most here find very obnoxious about you. Ok the arrongance too but there's lots of that.

Over many years grasshopper I have learned that there is a inverse relationship between how much someone talks about how good they are and how good they actually are. Maybe you should keep quiet and just go Taiski.

TCS, your continuous attempts to needle and incite ill feelings here are pathetic. A guy walks away, and still you chase behind to antagonize him. It's obvious you have some twisted need to create distress in others. Better take a look in the mirror yourself, you're a very sick man. You don't belong here. Go try to fix yourself.

That video should come with a skiing advisory.

Simple - add him to your ignore list....; then all his posts are deleted from your sight.....

you only have to suffer through the posts of people that have not got him on ignore complaining that they want to ignore him,....
He was given the toss from a Chinese ski forum too.

I guess they didn't understand the way of the ten thousand things?

Moderators,
Is there a way that having someone on your ignore list will produce "This message is hidden because taichiskiing is on your ignore list. " when other's quote the ignoree?

"A guy walks away"? That would be the day, won't it? No, I don't think you guys have the discipline [to stay away].

You barking bears tried to antagonize TCS ever since/before I got here, but failed, and now you whine that you are antagonized? Good, you deserve the taste of your own doing. It is called your way to yourself, you ask for it.

It looks like that you [barking bears] successfully bully the PMTS out of the discussing, maybe parks and pipes discussing as well. Now, you try to bully TCS out of here too. So, that's how you see yourself on the top of the game, banning the opponents that you cannot compete, so you can boast that you have the best skiing techniques? But you don't seem realized, even though you succeeded, what you achieve is only "a partial technique of a partitioned championship."

And the matter of facts is, "inside track" is shorter and straighter than "outside track," straightlining is faster than carving, the Whole Mountain Holistic Skiing is more technical demanding than racing, and the Whole Mountain Skiing is more fun than bashing gates on a partitioned line.

But you antagonize over the ideas, so the question is, just how sick are you? Sorry, there's no fix for the moment.
