The Yum Yum Tree

Look what I found under the Yum Yum Tree just now:
>>> YUM YUM <<<
Mmmm...I wasn't even hungry, but these were pretty low in fat, so I just figured they can't hurt too much.

My wife says I already consume too many fatty items, so I thought these might go rather good with something more delicate, like a bit of light Racing. Yes?

I told my wife that unlike the bullimic orgy she witnessed last year, my feeding at the eBay trough is not just a quest for enhanced male flotation. "In fact," I told her, "shedding the 'bad fat' around my wallet area, just before ski season, is yet another great way to get started on the path to a happier, healthier me."

She kind of gave me one of these: : and then two or three of these: and then she went to the mall. But not before telling me that I looked like a multi-colored vacuum cleaner bag in my racing suit.

Well, that's my story. I guess she's just a little bit jealous, that's all.

Just ask Phil

He's good at buying single skis.

Actually the quiver is not impressive yet. Currently in rotation are:

2 pair of fatties
1 pair race SL
1 pair race GS (on the way)
1 pair of Cross skis
1 pair of mid-fats
1 decent pair of shaped rock skis
1 decent pair of mid-fat rock skis
1 pair of classic long SL skis (VG cond)
2 pair of classic long GS skis (VG cond)
4 pair of completely retired old GS and SL skis.
all but two of the above have bindings

12 pairs between the wife and kids (old and new) - NOTE *includes Metrons!

2 pair of Cross country

That would make 29 pair currently adorning my basement. Hardly an even number. So I need to add 3 more pairs by next winter.

Hey Carvem... I enjoyed the FB's but picked up some Pocket Rockets to lighten my load. You could probably use 'em as you quiver is sooo small and lacking.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Heck, maybe we'll even swing by and pick up the Xdog, wherever that might be, he owes me a beer.

Yep, too bad it's now some fooey "cultural arts center." Yeech! Although Mountain did play there this summer. I made my first turns there back in ~the mid 70's.

I only got the FB's out for a half day last season in marginal conditions at Beaver Creek. Didn't tell me too much except that they're damn hefty to carry to the lifts. They're a good reason for ski in/out lodging. Hopefully they'll see some action this year. :
