Alpinord, you gotta do the "town" hills.

Maybe you'll be able to add Chapman to your list this year.

Whoops....forgot that one. Haven't been there since I shredded my leather gloves and tore my arms out their sockets on the rope tow. Chestnut Ridge and Cedar Hills had similar character if I recall. Cedar Hills was a golf course in the summer, if you can believe it. Hesperus is more like a 'town' hill as well, with night skiing.

(Is the bar I used to tend still in the lodge at Eldora? Used to have excellent music (along with the service) . )

Bonus point to anyone who can name the state.:
Wow, how odd. I was just watching PBS last night, they were talking about the average 4' of snow at the observatory. When the camera zoomed out to show the summit, I was thinking "you could ski that!"

btw, Hawaii (not sure if anyone's got pointed this out yet)

I've wanted to ski Enchanted Mountain/Couburn Gore in Maine: http://www.nelsap.org/me/enchanted.html

Found this place a few years ago while snowmobiling, it was apparently too remote and harsh to stay open. The first time i was up there, a snowmobile trail groomer had gotten stuck coming down and left a pit at least 10' deep in the powder. Since I saw that, I keep trying to get up there to ski...

Yep, still the same. I think I had my first drink there in '78 or '79. (Not my first ever, just my first in that bar.)

I used to live just over on the other side of the hill from the hespi ski area; I taught at Purg, skied my off days at TRide, only actually skied hespi once. As far Chapman, not enough snow to open the years I lived there.

Haha, nice. Skiing with the Army in Kashmir I think they're building a massive new resort just north of Delhi. That should be interesting.

I'm going to try and ski Japan and China (north eastern part near Russia) on my next business trips over there
