This is my second winter with Nokian WRs on my Saab. I commute from Park City to Orem for work (via Provo Canyon). I wanted something good on ice and moderate snow but also good on dry highways, which is the majority of my driving. I can't tell much difference between them and regular all-season tires when it is dry but in the muck it is a night and day difference. I use to live in Cambridge. I think they would be great for ski trips in New England. I highly recommend them.

Though I could run them all year round, I've been using the strictly as winter tires. My previous tires (Pirelli P6000s) were downright frightening in snow, but still have some decent tread life. Not sure yet what I'll do when the Pirellis are worn out.
