Boots for those with wide feet - Page 2

Wide Feet

I have had good luck with the Tecnica Vento 2 HVL 6. These were the best fit for my wide foot. Right out of the box these things are very wide. They felt snug but not uncomfortable. Now that they are broken in better, I can actually wear thicker socks. I have a 11.5 3E left foot and 11.5 4E right foot. This is the first boot that I could get my foot into that was sized correctl. Prior to this boot I could not find a boot wide enough. My only complaint is the flex. I should have got the next stiffer model Technica Vento 2 HVL 10. Overall, I am very happy with my boot and reccomend it to anyone with a wide foot.

I also tried the Nordica Beast 10. It was way to narrow and never would stretch out enough. Before going skiing I would sit in them for 2-4 hours in the evening (for a month). It has never stopped hurting my feet. I put 15 days of skiing on these boots - painfull. The width was just not wide enough for me. These will go on Ebay this fall. Great boot except for the width.

I also had tried many different makes of boots. The boots that finally fit my fat feet best are the Lange Fluid 120s. Be sure to try several with the help of a great bootfitter. Good luck with your quest.
