What really kills me is that Kneissl is still producing these boots. The 2006 models are all over the place on Japanese web sites.
I just want another pair as backup if I can't get the fit dialed-in on the Kryptons. I took some measurements today with the calipers and they're definitely different boots.
(The format gets all mangled, but here's the info)
SKI BOOT / Size / Sole Length / Sizing Gap / Shell Width / BootBoard Length / BootBoard Width
Kneissl Flexon Pro T 26.5 301mm 20mm 110mm 268mm 86mm
Dalbello Krypto Pro 26.5 306mm 22mm 107mm 270mm 81mm
It may be that the 5mm of extra length make the Krypton feel "roomier" for some people, but not for me. The forefoot/toebox are definitely tighter and you can see that in the measurements. I really don't want to blow out (or grind) the sides of the Krypton, so if I can't get the liner issues worked out then I'm going to need to stay on the Flexons (or start my new boot search all over again).
