i love how yankee fans lose two of three to the sox to finish the season, also blowing the chance for home-field advantage, then commence immediately with the shrill "we got first," which they had last year when they were so mighty they choked in a way no other team in pro sports ever will again.
identical records, but you spin it anyway you want. and turn the sour whining up as loud as you want; you can't erase WORLD CHAMPIONS from RED SOX.
the first three (and only) things i saw/heard from yankee fans yesterday:
__________________________________________________ ________1) something written about second-place finishes and eternal gratitude to bud selig.2) "way to back in."3) and "man, we're playing the better team (the angels), you guys got lucky to draw chicago."
ya know what, if you can't see and say the two teams are about as evenly matched as it's gonna get, then you're not watching baseball games, you're waiting for your turn to crow, make excuses or just wave your damn banners, whatever the color.
having the SAME RECORD and whining about first or second place...jeezuss, give me a break. if that's all you have, you can have it.
and save it up for anaheim. i look forward to the same music after the angels eliminate the yankees. wah wah wah.
fakkin' play ball already.
