I think you could replace RIAA with ASC and artist with liftie and that statement would be equally true.
There is a lot of truth in what you say, and I regret taking a position as staunch as I have.
I wish it were as simple as voting with the feet, but the nature of the industry makes that kind of hard for many people.
Doesn't mean I don't do it. A couple years ago I flat out stopped heading to Killington except for early/late season. Despite the fact that my ticket is FREE, I still usually don't find it worth the trouble. When I get the weekend ski day now, I generally go to the 'Bush or if I feel like paying MRG. The extra 1.5 hours round trip is easily worth it for me.
Fast forward to now, living in NM. Taos is where I'll be skiing this season most of the time. I suppose if I had some problem with Taos, I'd have a LONG drive to someplace else world-class.
