I recently listed a pair of new, bad ass powder skis in the Gear Swap. Currently, these are probably the most desirable pow. skis avail. on the market. I listed them at about 35% above wholesale, but about $100 less than anyone could find them for (either on-line or at a shop). Of course, if someone who has been a supporter of the forum asked for a better deal, I would have entertained the thought. A member, with about 25 posts, lambasted me for trying to make a few bucks on these skis. He chastised me, saying that what I was doing was bad for the ski industry (However, he did offer to pay wholesale). My retort was that the manufacturer is sold out of this ski, and that, in my mind, I was offering bears a very good deal on a highly desireable pair of wide boards. What do you guys think. Am I a schmuck for trying to make a few bucks on you guys, while at the same time offering you a great deal?: I'm sure that the retailers out there are not happy that 2006 goods are offered in the Gear Swap. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts. Thank you.
