Has anyone actually skied the M8? I haven't, but it is definitely different from the other Metrons, in that it has a 15-17m radius. It looks for all the world to be the R8 with a new top. Atomic likes to do that.
Three of us swapped around the R8, the M9 and a Dynastar Intuitive 74 last year. We all liked the R8 the best, thought the M9 was odd and a bit of a pig, and felt the Intuitive 74 skied like a beginner ski in comparison.
I also have some Atomic 8.20's which are the same ski as the TM20 with a different top. With a knife you can find the 8.20 under the tm20. There have always been some bargains in the 8 series, if you are willing to try the ski with an open mind and not get up on the is "not enough ski". I wonder if the M8 isn't another one?
I also ski some US Team 10.22 GS skis in a 193, so I can handle the big boards. I've just found a lot of Atomics with lower numbers (m10, R10, 8.20) are nice skis with high performance.
