i have 03/04 s10's in 168. skied about a dozen times. near perfect condition, without binding... $ 175. i skied the s12's that year, these are not as stiff, but alot of fun, and pound for pound, the most forgiving ski i've been on.
Well I found the 2005 S12s brand new in Aspen for dirt cheap (last pair they had). Not only that, I found them in the FLAT version - woohoo! I'm really happy that I'll have control over the binding mount position, the delta angle, and the amount of lift.
I really needed a good replacement for my old Volkl Supersport T50 5-stars and I think these will fit the bill just fine.
I should mention that I didn't even realize that when I completed the purchase of the skis that I was dealing with Dave Durrance, son of Dick Durrance the skiing legend in the Colorado Rockies. Dave was nice as could be and exceptionally helpful. I'm hoping to someday get out to Aspen and visit Durrance Sports. You can see a picture of Dave in the Skiing Mag gear issue.
