And therein lies the problem. I find that not a lot of shops even stock the boots we're talking about ... let alone in a 29.
If the CS is also a plug boot then it sounds like the RT is just a thicker plug than the CS, correct? That would make it stiffer by default as well ...
The thicker liner in the CS is a moot point for me since I'll be going foam (can't go back, ever). However, I do like the "wider toe box" comment.
Well, it sounds like I have to roll the dice. I've got a long history of skiing in beastly stiff boots, and I'm looking for a new boot that will spend all of it's time on icy race courses since I have my old 10:50's for free skiing ... but I am getting older too, and don't necessarily "need" anything as stiff as my old Medium GP's.
I guess my options are to go with the RT in a Soft or Medium and deal with the labor (lot's of experience here), or go with the CS and hope it's stiff enough, which it should be at least as stiff as the older 10:50's. Right ?
