When's Sniagrab?
I think it starts over Labor Day weekend.

Labor Day weekend, Sat Sept 3 - Mon Sept 5. The sale continues for several weeks after that, but some of the special discounts such as prices on lift tickets, season passes, etc. will only be available during the holiday weekend.

Yes, it starts labor day weekend -- and, continues in several sites.

Anyone heard when the CO ski pass goes on sale? I need to get one this year!

Usually there is a booth at Garts for passes, etc... Additionally the Warren Miller shows usually have booths as well. If all else fails go to their web site to find times and places.

It actually starts on Sept. 2nd. I'm not sure who's ass you have to kiss to get in that day, but it's not too difficult. Friday's opening is by invite only, but it's by far the best time to get the deals.

Ski passes will likely start going on sale that weekend as well. A lot of companies show up at Sniagrab and set up booths.

klkaye, the Colorado pass is on sale at Spring prices during Labor Day weekend only. They will be raising the prices of some of the passes after that. Renewals can be done on-line, new passes must be in-person.

thanks -- I found the website. they go on sale soon ... this year I have to buy mine in person -- not sure I will make it for labor day weekend. oh well.

And the Rocky Mountain Super Pass that is a combo pass for Winter Park and Copper is only available for purchase in the spring? Do I have that right?

Any other giveaway season pass deals like this available for other resorts in Colorado?

Can anyone verify this? My girlfriend and I have been weighing the Colorado pass vs the RM pass - and we had settled on the RM pass, but the new lift on peak 8 was making things more complicated. If this (the RM passs only available in the spring) could be confirmed, that would make the decision very easy.

I had heard of the Colorado Pass, but can someone please let me know the details behind it. My brother's friend had one last year (from Fort Collins) and mentioned it, but I didn't know the details about it. Can anyone offer up the details?

The RMSP is sold in the fall as well, unless that has changed for this year. This website should be updated shortly with that information - http://www.passwagon.com/

Colorado Pass is good at Breckenridge, Keystone and ABasin, with 10 days at either Vail or BC. The price is $349 for renewers, spring buyers and people at the Sniagrab over labor day. After that, it goes up. They also sell a buddy pass for $309, but you don't get access to Vail or BC.

One interesting note, you can buy the buddy pass online, but you have to show up in CO in person to buy a CP(it was still cheaper my first year to buy an extra plane ticket and buy the season pass). HOWEVER, last year I was skiing with some Brits and Ausies staying at the Fireside Inn, who had bought a buddy pass before coming to the states as they did not want to rick not getting a job at the resort. When they got there, they were asked if they wanted to upgrade to the CP. If you call Vail, they will neither confirm nor deny that they will do this.

I've had a CP for the past 2 years, but will probably not be renewing it.

Oops...

SO apparently the buddy pass is no longer being sold online to first time buyers anymore...

I'm moving to Denver Labor Day weekend, trying to decide which pass to get. My family has a place in Frisco so I'll be staying there sometimes as well as taking a lot of day trips. Any opinions on which one is a better deal. Also I've heard about Sniagrab but I'd appriciate any info on where it is.

Dan5252- I'd say the CO pass is the better deal for you. Ketsyone/Breck/A-Basin/Vail/BC are all centrally located around Frisco, so that would make more sense for you. You can always get that pass, then opt for the 4-passes at Copper and WP ($59 and $79 respectively) if you want to go there.

Do you know for sure if they are selling the 4 packs again. I had somebody get me a couple of those last year and they are probably the best deal out there, but I thought I heard somewhere they might not be selling those again.

Dan...Copper at one point had a mid-week only pass. It used to be around $ 250. If it's still available...get both the Copper Pass and the Colorado Pass and you'll have the whole county and 10 days at Vail/BC for around $ 600.

That's rather unbeatable !

Great advice, UL. What about WP? Hoping to try their terrain this year but missed their combo with Copper deal-bummer. Do they have something similar for those of us who can play hooky mid-week? Thanks!

Yes, they definitely have the 4-passes this year. I think they go on sale in mid September or mid October.

As for the Copper/WP pass, I believe its only $309 for both resorts, with no blackouts. Copper only shouldn't be much more than $280, if that. (that's all week, not just midweek)
