New Skis - how do I get them in the house? - Page 3

nice thread, just read it as I'm thinking of purchasing a racing ski set with one slalom 165 ( "officialy"for my dad to make it less obvious) one GS185 and one GS193 (which I don't want to keep). Cause I could get them including binders (as they are up to 20 DIN I would still need to exchange them on ebay) for less than 300 Dollars.

But the prob is that adding this to my total of 7 snowboards (I formerly raced on 4 of them - didn't pay for a single one of them more than the pro-form price of 150€) (my sister got 6 decent snowboards too and we share a bit), and my 3 bikes (one for the train station so it shouldn't count, one is older and now used as long distance race bike, and my mountainbike (in which I just invested this summer a third of the pay of my summer job) and not to speak that I already have some skis at home. I know that my parents wouldn't like it. (I shouldn't have told them about my investments in my mountainbike - they wouldn't have noticed, but now I think I have to forget the skis, if not my mother might refuse to pay for my uni (especially considering that my grades are not very good due to the 55 days on snow last season - and all the ski and snowboard waterjumping and mtbiking in this summer).

Damn it, what do I work for if my parents don't even approve me to spend approx 1000€ for sporting goods each year (well travel costs, season passes and so on add up on it too), therefore I don't smoke, drink hardly no alcohol, hey my parents should see that my sport equipment actually saves them money.

Oh shit I did want to buy new skiing boots too - why can't I specialise on one sport instead doing so many

Then march into bedroom, pack bags and toothbrush, wait for police (or even worse, the brother-in-laws).

Edit: Or, use a variation of what my Mother always did: for new clothes, she always brought them home in a dry cleaners bag.

My new Goats have been hiding out in the shed for over a month now behind all my other skis and my wife still hasn't discovered them. Just gotta pick the right time to break them out!

I've solved this whole issue by ending the marriage thing entirely. Drastic, I know. Actually, I am finding it very difficult to justify purchases now that I don't have someone to argue against.

Are these skis in the house yet?

Build a new house around the new skis. Maybe one that looks like this:

skinut,
bring them in and tell her that you thought you had one of the other pair sold, and they backed out after you bought the new ones. That really happened to me last winter.

To get "Rep" people have to like your posts and you can't like your own.  So far you're not a winning path.

That video was hilarious!  A resurrected thread from the past I see, I wondered how the original poster liked the Dynastar SkiCross 10s?  I just raced on a pair tonight for the first time in a long time and was pleasantly impressed. I am looking for a quick turning slalom groomer and I think this just resurfaced as a front runner since they been sitting in my basement for some time.
