Room Available, Summit County

Thread Starter
If anyone's looking to make a move to Summit County, or just want a place for ski season, I have a separate room and bath available starting in September. Great location, less than 30 minutes to 6 mountains, great views, clean, quiet. Cost would be $495 a month plus half the utilities.

PM me if you want more info.

Eight weeks until Loveland opens!

I have some friends who come out to ski in Summit County on weekends. Would this be suitable for a couple?

Get a dog. They're less trouble.

Nah! Michael is a certified cat person!

Thanks a lot, guys! Dogs and cats (and guinea pigs and hamsters...) are great, but they don't help with the rent! In answer to the REAL question: Yep, the place would be fine for a weekend couple or someone wanting to save on hotel rooms who comes up to ski pretty often.

Seven weeks to Loveland!

I would love to take it but it might piss my wife off because I wouldn't bring her

Huckingfellers: I'm sure you could make it up to her!

TJBrk: Yeah, the cats would be a problem, unfortunately. If you get up this way, let me know, though! It would be fun to make some turns with you!

Are ya SURE you don't want to advertise this on Craigslist and maybe strike a nice "bargain" w/ someone??:

Extra bonus

I guess Mike is a shy guy, he does not mention that you will be sharing a place with the great ski instructor.
I bet he will ski with you as well so it's an unbeatable deal

Mike,

How far away from Avon is the room??

Frau: I KNOW this is going to get me in trouble, but... What is Craigslist?

Hobbit: Very kind of you. Thank you!

Course9X: The condo is just off Route 70 in Sivlerthorne. That's about 35 minutes to Avon/Beaver Creek (and 30 to Vail; 12 to Copper; 20 to Breck and Keystone; 25 to A-Basin). Location is not a problem!

Take in some NOLA people.

Naughty, Naughty, Frau! She's referring to this thread:

I don't think Mike's girlfriend would approve of a such an arrangement.

But aside from rooming with a great ski instructor, the apartment is within walking distance of the rec center, Target and the Post Office. If that does not entice you, Bob Barnes lives only a few doors away! It's also on the free Summit Stage Bus Route. Mike keeps his place neater and cleaner than most women would!

Course9X: Avon is about 30-45 minutes away.

No, I'm not a real estate agent!

TJBRk: Finding pet friendly rentals in Summit County is challenging, but the Town of Frisco usually has some available. Glad to see that your b***h of an ex wife is at least letting you keep the cats!

And why isn't the GF willing to rent from you? That would be best, yes? May I walk you home.....can be fun!

It was a joke. I was making reference to a thread here which referenced a thread on TGR which referenced an ad on Craigslist where a woman was advertising to pay rent for a nice place in Tahoe with ummm.... her personal favors.:

Huh, Frau's a genius! I never thought of using Craig's list to find accommodation. This will be very useful for finding somewhere to live this season. (It's not all sex weirdos on that site, is it?!)

Question:

Where is the best place to live if I get a job in Avon??

Don't say silverthorne just because there is a room for rent.

The best place to live is Avon.

Other options include Minturn, Leadville, Edwards, or even Gypsum. I'd mention Vail, but if you can't afford Avon then you won't be able to afford Vail either.
