Hey, you guys seem to be some of the few who know/ski the Head iSL RD.
I am in the market for a SL ski, and until now was considering either the regular iSL or iSL Chip. Can you please compare for me the skiing characteristics and relative performance of these vs the RD.
I know the dimensions. What also already appears to me is that the RD has the split plate which should aid deeper flex, and is a sandwich construction, as oppossed to the other two which are caps, right?
I have and love the XRC 1100 SW @170, and want a 160 (or 161 RD) Slalom.
So, I figured that maybe I might prefer the sandwich of the RD. The only regualr retail sandwich SL offered is the new Supershape whose performance I am weary of.
I do however want the ski for free skiing, so, I don't want it to be too much work all of the time. Is that the case with the RD?
Also, I wonder how great of an advantage the new Liquid metal will be in the Chip (none in RD, right?).
Thanks for the feedback.
