You're all invited to join Epic Survival Football!

I started a private league on Yahoo called "Epic Survival Football". Some of you may have heard of "suicide pools" for pro football, well this is an online version of that except this is free.

The basic premise is that you have to pick the winner of ONE pro football game per week. Win and live to pick again. Lose, and buh-bye!

And you can only pick a team one time so you had better plan well.

This link will get you to the signup screen and use the info below to join.

You'll need to have a Yahoo ID to play but that's it.
We can have up to 50 players...hope to see a bunch of you there.

ps: I'll probably also set up a Pro Football Pickem League in a couple weeks if anyone is interested.

I'm in William, although I am sure that shortly after week one I will be out. :

Here's a tip. Pick the Patriots to win every week and you're golden.

I don't think so. You can only pick a team once.

Besides, the Pats are in for a reality check this season....no souper bowl for them this year, sorry.

The Patriots are still the best team in the league. The receivers are young. They signed David Terrell to replace Patten. Corey Dillon is still in his prime and Tom Brady is well Tom Brady. Sure the D has suffered some setbacks but I think Vrabel and Chad Brown will fill in admirably for Tedy. Rodney Harrisson is ready to deliver more of the hits and Seymore will sign. It's all good in Patriotville. Anyway I'm looking forward to this league!! Just a few more weeks till football season which means fall, which means ski season soon thereafter!

Ahh Springhill, good to hear from you again. If there is an undefeated team this season you know they'll be wearing the red white and blue and I'm not talking about the Bills. I'm talking about the Patriots. By the way didn't duce just have knee surgury. Uh oh!

And who will bring the end to the AFC reign? The Eagles? Doubtful. TO isn't happy. Pinkston is gone for the season. They did nothing in the off season. Say what you want about Pinkston but he's a pretty solid wide out.

JETS/GIANTS Superbowl....come on..you can taste it!!!

Duce has knee surgery, Hines is holding out, the Bus is too old, half of the starting O-line left in free agency, Plax went to the Giants (that's why Shen so sure the Giants will get to the Super Bowl), Big Ben went downhill at the end of last season..gee, I guess you're right. I'm going out to Latrobe tomorrow and tell Bill to call off camp and forfeit the season.

Shouldn't your screen name be MA Ridge Racer?

I know. I get a big headed when I talk about the Patriots. I'll stop now. By the way I just heard TO left Eagles training camp and cleared out his locker in a huff after Andy Reid told him to leave after an argument. What is his problem?

I certainly wouldn't give up. It'll be interesting to see how this thing plays out. Knowing TO he'll probably demand a trade now.

Hey Ridge Racer, I thought I was the only one around here that was an obnoxious fan. Go ahead and hype your team. That's how the NFL is a participatory sport.

Did you think my prediction of a Steelers 19-0 record was low keyed and humble?

It's all about the safe release of excess testosterone and in my case, misplaced civic pride.:

Steelers rule!

LoL I'll hype the Pats for sure. All in due time. In the mean time, the Flyers just signed Peter Forsberg. Should the NHL just give us the cup now?!?
I am still for my Iggles. Might be a Colts year from the AFC. This is what I like about the NFL, most teams are one player away from disaster.

OK..which one are we using????

Elaborate on your question...which what?

I think the misunderstanding is that they're 2 different games. At a high level, this one is pick one game per week, lose and you're out. The other is pick all games each week, whoever has the best record at the end of the season wins.

Yes, that is correct. They are two separate entities, Pick-em and Survival.

In Survival football, I'd bet most people are out and there is a winner by week 5 or 6.

So enjoy both!

I tried to join this, but it said the season has already started.
