SSH--unusual, really--how so? They are all high end, all mountain/mostly off groomed, similar waist sizes, between 77mm and 82 mmm, my sense is that they will be among the hottest, every day boards, right below skis like the mantra and the Monster 88, which I would say are 100% off groomed. I live in the east, but happily I 'll be sking at Snowbird, ALta, Aspen and Steamboat this year. Looking for an every day ski that will blast bowls, but nor require highest end skills when I get in tight spots. I am same personal specs as OBOE, probably level 7 or 8. I skied the Pro last year, which the AC4 replaces, as I underatnd it. Man the Pro busted through every thing, but not forgiving in tight spots. (for me) The Chip 75, had an amazing platform, but not so lively and harder work in short turns, also not a great pow ski.
THe fact is I'd love to buy with out demoing--since I can probably save $200 bucks or so by buying at a city shop. Basically looking for a ski with waist 77 to 82, but most forgiving and lively. I know the Bandits and Legends fit the bill better--but I'd like to explore the Austrian/germanic brands first--Any ideas? Thanks.
