video editing - Page 2

Adobe & Pinnacle are both good.
Adobe is slightly easier to use.

That said, if you plan on editing a lot of video in the future, you'll need a seperate hard drive.

You may also find it helpfull to buy a video tutorial for the software you buy. It just speeds the learning process up a bit.

I use an older version of Adobe Premiere, & really like it.

Hope this helps

I just started using a downloaded demo of Pinnacle Studio 9, their "home movie" level of software.

I am impressed with its ease of use and intuitive desktop layout.

I have requested a demo CD of their "advanced video" software to compare the two.

I am giving a tentative "thumbs up" to the Pinnacle Studio 9 thus far.

Go with Final Cut Pro 7 or Adobe Premiere. Both are pretty easy to use and are the best programs out there!

Erin Sun is finding every video editing thread and posting with what look an awful lot like paid testimonials for ShowBiz. Just calling it like I see it.

I know this is an old thread, but people will still read it, so here is my 2 cents.

I have used a number of programs, I mostly use Adobe Production bundle CS6, but is is expensive so it is not for everyone. I also use FCPx this is a good deal and is easy to use. I did like the old FCP better, but that is just my opinion. I also mostly use Digital Performer for recording music and doing sound, Adobe Audition that comes with CS6 has some good tools with it so I do like it as well. Adobe After Effects CS6 takes some time to learn but it is way cool. I use an 8 core Mac Pr tower, as I do music, video ,graphics,3D, and animation. I have had a number of PC's as well, and use them at work, I am not putting them down, but I feel for the kind of work I do Mac does a good job, and they are fast and easy to use. iMove is IMOP the best free editor you can find.
