"i can tell you about ours. the new gs skis come 176-21m, 183-22.5m in blue/white for women. mens gs in 183-22.5 m (same as women's), 186-24.9m and 191-26.8m in red/white. all of those models are now fir/spruce wood laminates with two layers of titinal and are available with either flat race chassis or black world cup plate.
women's 155 slalom is now the same wood laminate lay-up as the gs skis. men's 165 is basically the same construction as the gs skis but is the only remaining race room ski in the beta configuration. the reason for the switch is that basically the edge grip (again, in the world cup construction) was essentially all or nothing. for most people the skis didn't feather into or release from the turns all that easily and some would say, dictated a certain turn shape. if you could handle them and hang on they were outstanding. now the skis are a tad more friendly and with the profile of the two metal layers (which for some reason, no other company has done before) you get the same dampness and stability you'd expect from our skis. old school construction, with a little twist is all i'll say. same goes for the women's slalom and they are working very, very well. they world cup 165 retains the beta profile because of the massive edge hold. just in case...all new molds, shapes and size runs on the jr's...they are all fir/spruce laminates with one sheet of metal.
