Cannon Mountain skier's this winter will miss Alan Bean, who died recently. He was the guy with the wicker basket backpack, snowshoes, and tam'o shanter who loaded lifts and did various jobs around Cannon. I think he was only about 69 and died of a heart problem. Peace Beanie.

I think one of the ski magazines wrote about him in an article on Cannon. If I remmeber correctly he would shovel the deck etc when it snowed. Sixty nine is too young to go and hopefully its a powder day everyday when we leave this life.

As I get older I sometimes wish everything could kind of stay the same. It doesn't and somebody's passing only reinforces the fact that everyday is really pretty special.
