The Butte advertises "the best corduroy in Colorado," and the most extreme terrain, although Telluride is giving them a run for their money in the latter department, but theirs requires a lot more high altitude hiking. The high speed groomer zooming at the Butte is great, but there are not that many steep groomed runs. Lots of intermediate and green smoothies. The steeps include lift served stuff that is steeper and more radical than any other on-area terrain in the US, but consequently it requires a lot of snow, something that the Butte does not regularly get. If the snow is good and you can explore the extreme stuff it is a pretty big mountain. If not, then good skiers will find it very limited.
