Academy and Weems Publicity - Page 2

Sort of agree with Steve H- Chihuahuas are not really dogs, but are, I suspect, rats, not cats, in disguise (and a poor one at that!).

Weems- how depressing- I was sure you were a dog person!

Actually, I have a totally magical dog named Merlin--part border collie and part eskimo dog. He's got this trick where if you ask him if he'd rather be a Raiders fan or dead, he lies down on the floor, dead.

I don't like him very much. He's much smarter than me.

What was this thread about? I forgot.

A little forgetful in your old age, eh Mr. .....what was your name again?:

And Chris.......I have a certificate mounted on my wall for Best ESA group name. On it is written, Loose Ladies. AHA!
Did we do group names last year, Steve? (Talk about a weak memory...)

Not that I ever heard. They were all just named by their coach. Talk about boring...!

Bookmark it, Steve-o. Next year we challenge the Loose Ladies for the chinchilla tutu (or was that chihuaha?)

There's more than one way to skin a chihuahua.

Good Lord, Weems- posting at 4:26am?!! You are worse than me! ( I just got home from work an hour ago).

Guilty people never sleep.

Actually, I'm on the east coast and my setting is for Colorado.
Whatcha doing on the East Coast, Weems? Coming to visit me?

Are you kidding? The mosquitoes are too big up in Vermont.

My wife's family has a little beach resort in Rhode Island. We operate some rental cottages as well, so most of our summers are here so I can WINDSURF! Unfortunately, the wind around here doesn't want to blow. It sucks! So I'm on the bike a lot. Eat your heart out Lance!

Those aren't mosquitos, Weems. Those are bats.:
I know, but it scares me when I see mosquitoes breeding with those bats without even having to stand up on their tip-toes.

Weems, let me know if you want a riding partner. I usually do the LC/Wstprt loop.

Weems, if we do get to ski together this fall, you may get some publicity in TPS. I am in the process of working on an article about ACL injury, told from a been there, done that point of view.

Originally, I was going to hand it in for their August deadline for Spring publication, but after speaking with my editor, we decided that it may be interesting to do an Epilogue: My Day Back with Weems.
My deadline has been extended to November 24, so I can include your "words of wisdom."

Can you handle all this fame?

I would do it even without the publicity, but you are very nice to help launch the program. Yes. I'll be there.

Absolutely. I usually start off kinda slow, then taper off!

I did a super LC/Dartmouth loop yesterday.

401 635 2195. Wanna ride this afternoon?
Weems, sorry I missed you, but I just got back from a fishing trip down on the Cape. I do plan on riding Sunday morning, but I know that's short notice, this being Saturday night. I usually try to do at least a couple of rides a week, so let me know when you want to go. My time is pretty flexible. I'll have my cell with me tomorrow (Sunday) 401 864 0526, or you can get me during the week at 635 9595.
I'll call, but not this morning. I wanna watch the Lance on the Champs Elysees!
Yeh, I want to see that too, but I'll have to watch the reruns tonight. The rest of the clan wants to go out on the boat, so I'm off to the beach. Catch you later.

I'm working on another piece for an industry publication about the viability and profitability of ski camps from a management/ski school perspective. If academy organizers want to PM me with their perspective of how they convinced management to hold the academy, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Lisa, there was just the small matter of giving them a firstborn son--and luckily Weems was able to find three of them--but this year we'll have to scrounge.
