My pleasure! I only wish that this person, who writes for the same site, had read my article before her first ski trip:http://www.associatedcontent.com/con...type_id=4 092
Good grief, what a nightmare!
Cantunamunch, the problem is the whole key word writing thing. The google ads are what determines how much you get paid, if you get paid at all. BTW, the site owners collect the revenue from the ads, NOT the writer. At least this particular site allows you to put in your own links. The types of things I enjoy writing about, such as the Academy, don't usually have google ads. There is a way around it, though. If it gets posted in enough places (thank you Fox) it will start to place higher on the search engines, so it can eventually benefit the Academy and Weems.
Since I usually write for print publications, I'm still working on the whole content site concept. It kind of feels a bit whorish, but the upside is that it's easy to write about things you feel passionate about, and have it accepted right away. I must have pitched a piece about Epicski Academy to at least four publications, including TPS, but I either get turned down or ignored.
