Thanks, it feels good to know I'm not alone in thinking this.

I was just thinking of the first PSIA handbook on it I ever saw, judging from the size of the pom-poms on the hats it was circa 1980 something, called Snowboard Skiing.

Yes, I was tested on my "snowboard skiing" skills before being allowed to use the lifts and trails at my local ski area.

I believe it is the most closely related discipline to alpine skiing, which might explain why we sometimes fight like siblings.

This thing's back from the dead! I think the reason we sometimes fight like siblings has much more to do with the early demographics of snowboarding than the similarities between skiing and riding.

No, that's why we used to fight like parents and children! You don't fight with ski jumper because he is a distant cousin you never met. Snowboarder is your brother.

Haha, you've got a convert...the change from parents/children to older/younger brother did it for me!

I really hate Skiers. They wear those courtjester hats. And the way they stand right in front of the unload ramp at the top of the lifts. The moan about it being too icy, and if it is snowing, they complain that they can't see. The if they go off a cat track they want to sue. Skiers suck.

My first show was the Ramones and I used to go to CBGB's and ABC NO RIO back in the day. I may have been a punk at one time but I kind of drifted away from it.:
