PM GEAR BRO Model - Page 2

Not that I need another pair of skis, but the minute those 178's are out, put my name on a pair. My husband has two pairs of 188's now (one for alpine, one for touring), and I can't wait for a pair myself.

Update

For those of you that have not followed the Bro thread on TGR, the new Bro's are out and being delivered. They are prototyping the shorter Bro @ 179. Looks like it will become available pretty fast.

I still want a pair of Bro's but can't justify spending more money on equipment while sking a very expencive pair of Pro's. I do have an unmounted pair of Spatulas leaning against the wall. Humm?

Thanks for digging this thread out of the cellar.

Got my Bros after some significant delay and follow-ups but the flex is just as bomber as Splat promised - still in the wrap, unmounted since the latest mounting point recommendation just came in yesterday. Looks like the waiting finally paid off.
Getting binders next, can't wait to ski these little bastards.

Thanks for digging this thread out of the cellar and congrats on the Alta Engagment?
Yeah - Craig is really happy with the new pair but is fairly scared to break them out yet with conditions the way they are. We skinned up Alta before opening and he skied back down the groomer with them to be safe.

Oh - and that's not me - I've been married for like 5 years. Skiguide and Skiingbear were the last two who got engaged up at Alta. I threw them a housewarming/engagement party though (as their friend, realtor, and new neighbor).

Whatcha doin with those unmounted Spats?

Well I have 3$ invested in them. I think I am gonna sit on them untill the price is right. I am thinking I might be able to swap them for a pair of Bro's Maybe mid winter. I think I am more interested in the Spats as a collectors item or trading tool. I don.t think I am going to mount and ski them. I am doing just fine in the Pow with the Pro's. I am thinking I would like some stiff or maybe soft? Bro's to use as an AT set-up.

Like Three Dollars?? How'd you do that?

That was my plan - short Bros for touring, but I was too impatient and bought another set of Phat Luvs for that.

Hey MTT people are questioning my addiction for not owning Spats, if you decide to sell them let me know.

The problem is that now that MTT has divulged what he paid, there are some around here who would expect him to sell them for $4.

The only reason I mentioned that I have them was A: Bragging B: Trolling for a Bro model swap 188's stiff Uhhh maybe the softs. I think option B will likely happen in the not to distant future. Bro's cost 5.90ish

You can get most of the money for Bros on the TGR boards. Get a new pair and they'll be your babies. I have the softs, and I'm picking up at least one pair of stiffs (I'm another owner). Bro's are superlight and easy to swing, and don't really have a speed limit. If anyone on the EC ever wants to try a pair, I should have some demos fairly soon that I'll be happy to lend out.
