Greetings Sno Dogs,

Couple quick questions..got some great feedback on another thread from some bro's who have hit this new 06 ski..and done some research on some other sites...Questions...if anyone is out there that knows this new ski...

1. On a size 179 anyone have the radius and sidecut?(yes I have been looking...can't find..
2. How does it ski?
3. I have found this at ken jones.com for 599.00 and it includes a top end Salomon binding..(not sure if all come with that binding..do they??) B. Does anyone know of a better deal out there than this?

Thanks in advance.

Hate Summer

from ProctorJones.com (Ken Jones site): Sidecut:21m@179

They don't list a binding with the ski there, but do advertise the ski for $599, so you might want to make sure that the deal you found is in fact legit. To put a top of the line Salomon binding on that ski and sell it for $599 they would basically be selling the ski pretty close to (if not at depending on binding) wholesale/pro-form (think pro price's on ski, shipping, binding, shipping, wide break, and mounting), which I think manufacturers might have an issue with. However if the deal you found is legit, more power to you.

In terms of how it skis, I have not skied my 189's yet, but have skied the 179 Pistol. Supposedly the sidecut is completely different to make the ski more skier controled and more friendly to all turns.

Honestly, the best info you will find will probably be on K2's forums. Seth Morrison is on there and has given much information about the ski (how better to get info than from the person who the ski was designed for). Also, there are a bunch of people on NS.com that have skied it, but unless you are familiar who to pay attention to, you'll have a hard time decifering true info from propaganda/blatently false info. However, there are a few shop owners, sponsored riders, pros, and even the graphic designer for the vicious on NS.

I was quite happy with my Pistol's (they were 03/04 179), however found them to be a little demanding in certain circumstances. When I found out about the sidecut change and being designed to be more skier friendly, I did not hesitate to put my order in.

Some people over at tetongravity.com forums have this ski and have used it out this season.

I love my 179cm SV. Search my name here or Seth Vicious and you'll see my comparisons to other skis. I may pick up the 189cm SV too! :
