Question about bindings...

Thread Starter
I just bought bindings that are 5-12 din, and I'm a 6. Recently though, I read you should be in the upper half of the din range on your bindings. Is this true? What is the reasoning for this?

The reasoning was that it was best if you were around the middle of the DIN range of your bindings as that is probably where they were designed to work best/most accurately. Also if you subsequently decided/needed to change your DIN setting you have scope to do so.

However, given US liability laws and the numbers of ambulance chasing lawyers over there, any binding that could be shown to work incorrectly across any part of its specified DIN range would be a licence to print money and bankrupt the manufacturer.

I wouldn't worry about it.
