I am 40 yrs old and I am a lower expert skier. I ski about 30 days a year and I ski 70% on trail 30% off. I have the K2 Axis X Pro,174cm and I love them. However I tore up my knee playing basketball earlier this summer and I won't be able to ski the pro this winter (it is a demanding ski). I am 5'6 and 200lbs, I like to make all kinds of turns at all kinds of speed. Sometimes I rip it in the mornings and other times I will ski the bunny slope with friends that do not ski as well. I live in the west, but ski New England, about ten days a year (I am from Conn.). No moguls for me anymore but I want a ski that is easier to turn than my X pro at slower speed, but I will be happy with when my injury heals up. I was thinking of the K2 Axis XR, XT and the new Mach SL. Also on the list are the Head Cyber I.C. 160 and the 300, Dynastar SkiCross 10, Volkl Supersport 6 star. What does everyone think of my choices? Is there any others you would suggest? I live in Phoenix, so no demo's for me. Thanks everyone in advance.
