NA NA NA, good for you. I don't want to hear about how you'll be skiing fresh snow. I'm jealous. Enjoy it while you can.

Vermont still has hard frosts (all this week, my plants are suffering). Can't ski, no snow, can't garden, too cold......... If it ain't summer or winter, what good is it?

Now, Now, Bonni, is it still mud season ? I too have had frost a few mornings the past week. My son and I are into the "car thing" now. We won't think much about skiing until September.

skicougar, I have skied Killington on June 22 1997. So every now and then I do get out late in the season if I want. Don't feel to bad for me.

From what I've heard, June skiing is thing of the past at Killington. Even May may in jeapardy as ASC is no longer willing to subsidize season pass holders w/ late season skiing.

Sounds like Summit County. As I look out the window this evening it is snowing and sticking.

I drove to Denver early this morning to teach at a PGA junior golf clinic and it was nasty icy at the Eisenhower Tunnel. I thought the compact car on the hood of the SUV was an especially lovely combination. At least it was in the 60's down there although with a few tornado warnings-spring!!!

Working the ticket booth at K-mart must be a lonely job after March

Still rippin up the pow above 9,500 ft in CO. A lot of these resorts could easily be open right now if they could afford it. But, whatever, if not then just skin up and have a whole open run with about 2 feet of snow that hasn't been skied on in several weeks.

A Basin closing early?

I checked the A Basin website before I drove up today and was shocked and disappointed to find this line at the bottom of the snow report:

"28 days till closing"

WHAT??!! They are going to close with snow still on the ground? What happened to July 4th? Anyone know what this is all about? They still have 100% coverage and more snow coming (3-5" of fresh to greet us this am).
