Season Recap

What a year it's been: in this, my second season on skis, I've put in 45 days on the hill, with a chance of getting a few more before I'm done. I attended two excellent ski clinics, the EpicSki Academy at Big Sky, and Atomic Dave Murray clinic at Whistler. I skied at 8 different ski hills: Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, Norquay, Marmot, Whistler, Whitewater, Squaw Valley, and Big Sky. I've made aquaintences on the hill that I hope will continue over the years to come, including numerous people I met at ESA that I hope to ski with again. My ability improved immensely, and I am now able to ski much more of the mountain with confidence than I could six months ago. And, finally, I turned two people on to skiing, people who had never skied before, but now own boots and skis and plant to continue skiing.

I can only hope that next year will be as satisfying as this season has been.

Colossus is a testament to the success of the Total Immersion Method.

After the last 4 weeks I can safely say I don't even know where to begin to talk about all of this.

I met a wealth of new people and suspect I got a few really "juiced" about skiing. There are a few that stand out, but none as much as DrFrau who I got back on skis after 20 yrs. On day 13 she was up on some gnarly terrain on really crap snow on top of the world at Loveland. (Now this, of course, was before the self described two fisted beer incident in the parking lot. ) Talk about changes ! She, by the way, must have reset her home page to Epic !

I changed my own skiing for the better and exchanged a few new theories with some folks, had a lot of laughs, and made a few friends. It doesn't get much better than this

Speaking of Total Immersion, how many days did you ski while you were in Colorado, Unc? How do you afford the time off?
