Internet access issues for EpicSki?

I've gotten reports that SkiMangoJazz (Mass) and Kneale Brownson (Michigan) are having difficulties accessing EpicSki. I am trying to find out which ISP they are using. Anyone else having access problems at any time (obviously, in order to read this, you'll have to be able to get to EpicSki at some point!).

No connection issues here.

I did notice excessive internet pettiness earlier in the week, but that seems to have worked itself out.

I just got on, Steve. I followed the directions in the "cannot find" message and checked the boxes for a couple of the "security" features that were not part of the default settings for my IE program (the one packaged with WinXPHome). Don't know if that did anything, but I was able to open Epic. Yesterday I could get to the front page, but not get to any of the forum pages for a while.

Were some of those "cookie" settings?
No, they were under the "security" section of the "advanced" part of internet options and they were something like "Use SSL 2.0, Use SSL 3.0 and Use TSL 1.0". Only one of them had been checked under the original setup. I just checked the other two boxes and hit the "apply". There was a third suggestion in the "could not find" message, but I couldn't find that one in my setup.

I got a weird DNS error on first atrempt to connect this morning, on reload, no problems...was any DNS change propogating in the last 24 hours?

It's coming in loud and clear down here in DC (and has been, the few times I checked in earlier today).

I had errors on another ski web forum, but Epic is running fine in the UK.

running fine from my location.

I just checked the logs, nothing out of the ordinary in the logs. I'll research a little more when I get to the server.

I am back on. Using a Mac, no firewall or security issues. I am not at work however and am accessing via cable instead of T1, so it's possible that my work connection still wouldn't get me on.

Some weird 'net node nastiness no doubt.

Rock-solid from Oz.

I checked the logs on the server, nothing in any of my servers show a dns or outage here. DNS changes are done every night. It's possible someone corrupted a dns server and broadcast the changes.

I didn't make any DNS changes on our end.

Very, very slow to access Epic Ski and various forums here. My computer doesn't have problems with other programs. It has been like this since this morning.

BTW, my ISP is earthlink. It took several minutes just to post last message.

My guess is that there's some routing issue on the 'net. I'll dig around and see what I can find on the various Internet mailing lists...

problems connecting from work could be proxy settings

I just had the same problem until I remembered to go into Internet Explorer Internet Options, Connection, LAN, and turn on my proxy settings so it would connect me through the work network and out into the broad world of web sites.
