REI has nothing and none are on ebay in reasonable sizes

I have a buddy who has a pair of Truths on ebay right now. The only difference between the Truth and the Sin is that the waist is 69 as opposed to 72. The skis are in excellent shape, take a look at the pics. He is selling to buy GS sticks for next year. They are only at 80 bucks right now with Tyrolia LD12s and plates. This is a steal. Good luck man.

I looking for a new pair and will keep roaming ebay

I have a pair of Genesis Platinums which are 71 in the waste. It is the synthetic core vs. the wood core that the Machetes are. The Platinums, which is this years (and next years), ski is less suseptable to bending. They are a 170 and have about 10 days on them.

Isn't the Machete sin 81 in the middle?

The Soul is 81 wasted.

Machete Sin is 81mm. They float nicely.

Soul is 72mm waist...

Last year's Gravity 71 are out there in the low $200's....similar ski (slightly softer, I think - but still pretty beefy) but 1mm narrower....

Yeah, I'm actually SURE they are 81 in the middle. It's the ski I ski And boy they do have nice float, not a powder ski, but just as good IMO

The Sin is 81mm underfoot; I have them. I don't think they really float all that well, but I really like them on variable conditions -- heavy snow, crud, groomers, spring slush, etc. They feel very stable at speed and hold an edge well on ice.

I guess you are correct. The ski I used to ski on was 63 in the middle, so 81 feels awsome in powder.

The place to find these was eBay over the past few weeks, but it looks like it's all over now for this season. There may be some sellers still sitting on these and they'll show up again next year, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The Machete line will be 2 seasons past next year and probably even harder to find.

I loaded up at the end of this season for pennies on the dollar. So now I have a pair of Souls, a pair of FBs, and 3 pairs of Sins. I wanted some spares for when I bend them!

BTW - Some of you may know that I now have a habit of measuring the dimensions of the skis I get to check them against the manufacturers' advertised numbers. My Souls are actually 110-70-97 (very different from the 109-72-99 advertised). My Sins are a bit narrower underfoot (79mm vs. 81mm) than advertised. The FBs were exactly as advertised.

Good observations, Noodler. I picked up 175 Sins and FB's for under $200, and I feel they were well worth it. I simply could not get over how well the Sins were in about a foot of powder and chopped up snow/ice.

I know it's a stretch, but I have 180 cm Machete Souls (too big for me) new in wrapper for sale. Say, $250.
