My vote is Squaw Valley. I'm biased 'cuz I was on the ski team there, but it is considere the mecca of extreme skiing.

The most difficult tree skiing in N.E. would be above the Patrol Hut at the summit served by the single chair, a short climb with a warning sign that it isn't patrolled. I know this area well. Parts of it can be quite bumpy. The futher out along the Long Trail one skiis the steeper the upper cliff section becomes. In addition the trees get tighter. Almost all access points require jumping a ledge off the long trail. I don't even think they include this area when people rate it in the top ten.
