Season is over--NOT

After some big dumps this week, Bogus Basin is reopening on Friday and hopes to stay open until April 10th which is when they originally planned to shut down for the season. Bogus had been closed since March 13 because of the lack of snow. It was their earliest closing ever.

I was hoping for one more ski day this season by driving up to Brundage or Tamarack but am delighted with the prospect of several more days this season at my home resort.

Woo Hoo!

You are far more committed to skiing than I am. To me, spending 12+ hours in the car several weekends (round trip) to extend my ski season isn't worth it given the other nonskiing activities available right out my door in the off-season.

However, I am stoked about adding ski days this year on a season pass that is already paid for when I have to spend only 80 minutes for each ski day (round trip) in my car to do so.

Bretton Woods will be staying open until Bode Fest for sure. They also are trying to extend past that. Spring skiing in the East can be the best skiing of the season. You can have some great powder days or the only 50 degree days get-a-tan days of the season. Make sure to pack the sunblock, though.

yeah lifer, i have been told i should be comitted before.

but if i was a couple of hour's from a hill, i'd be more sub-dued. at 1100 miles away, i suffer from withdrawals regularly.

The season over? What kind of madness is this?! Tuckerman's will be going strong for another 4-6 weeks, as will K-Mart (Rumor has it their going to build a gigantic quarterpipe as the finish line for the June 1st Fun Slalom!!). Unless you live in Florida, the Bahamas, or somewhere else far, far from snow, the season is not over!

I love skiing 8-12, having a lazy lunch, then hitting the links for 9 holes afterwards!

Last I heard (check Killington-Insider.com) Killington will close May 15th.

Woo Hoo!
Lifer, I'm bailing on work tomorrow at noon, and should be at Bogus by 1:30. I'm not upset by having to put the ski racks back on the car. Woohoo indeed.
