We had so much fun skiing with Unc' Louie and Joan at Vail on Sunday that we have to find out how to do it again this Saturday at Loveland.

Any info on your plan for the day and suggestions on how to meet up later than 9:00?

Anybody skiing the Basin today (Wed-Fri) we can meet inside @ the bar area at 10:00. That's when it has been soft enough to move around the place a bit.

dp----look for the pictures on this thread. Jacket changes to a med. blue Rebock jacket. That's how you will know me !

C'mon, Joan. You blew me off on my birthday for heaven's sake! You've gotta ski with me on Sunday (so you may as well ski with the rest of the gang on Saturday)!
Joan,

Awww C'mon..... I've been hearing stories about you for freakin' MONTHS.... I'm going to fly ALL THE WAY OUT THERE..... and don't get to meet you????
Is that enough to guilt for you?, if not.....

I just HAVE to see if UL's imitations of you are accurate or not!!!

OK, uncle Louie- they just added on an appy to follow the neurosurgeons, but hopefully that will be it for the night (if I am really lucky!). I'll be wearing a gray softshell (if it's sunny) or a blue Arcteryx shell (if it's gray out); bright orange R:ex's and yellow Flexons. Hope to be up there!

Joan I need my mambo italiano partner!! It's part of my therapy!

Thanks Uncle Louie

Thanks for sharing great skiing and fun during the last couple of weeks. Really enjoyed meeting you and Joan. The tips you two shared really helped my skiing and gave me lots of stuff to use in my future classes.

Lets keep doing this in the future. Was great skiing with all the bear during your visit here too.

Wonder when I'll find that photo card for my camera?

Well, I did make it up to the Basin on the 21st (albeit 45 minutes late) but I never found any of you! Still had a great day of skiing, but I am sorry it was alone. Today, by the way, was fantastic up there- mid-winter conditions (but lousy visibility for many runs). 15" of new in the past 48 hours, and it snowed all day. I plan a return visit tomorrow with my son. Anyone else planning to be around?
dp, I may go up to make a few turns tomorrow, but won't arrive till 10:00 or so.

bong, if I can get my son out of bed by then, I will be doing well! I don't think that we will be there much before that. Since cell phones don't work there, we can either try to meet at the A-frame around 10, or leave a message for each other on the white board at the bottom of the lift.
Sounds good, I'll look for you at the A-frame or leave a message.

I'll either be in black Pearl Izumi fleece or Red Marmot shell w/silver helmet.

I'll probably be wearing my blue arcteryx shell, if the weather is anything like it was today. Black-gray carbon fiber-patterned helmet, yellow Flexons. If I am not there, it is because my son decided to be lazy!

The Season is over for this kid...........but the thread lives on !

I'm home following a brief 38 hrs in the car.

For those who I didn't connect up with.....Kaj / dp......there is always next year ! Sorry I missed you both.

I am so glad I started this thread. I had a chance to meet a host of really FUN people. I met a group of dedicated pros and a bunch of really talented recreational skiers. I am really impressed with the level of skiers I met.

The last few weeks have been the high point of the last couple years. Thanks for the laughs, the turns, the dinners, (tickets !) and the company. If anybody knows a way to speed up the summer, PM me, so we can all do this again soon !

THANKS !!!

Uncle Louie

Louie, glad to hear you made it home OK. It was great meeting and skiing with you! Don't wish summer away, it might just be filled with nothing but perfect waves

Mike good thing you played yesterday, looks like we are in for a spell of long gray wet days.

Hi Kima,

Tuesday was very nice-except for the punched greens (which I expect this time of year)-bumpier than the face of a 13 year old with a chocolate fetish .

It has snowed every day up here and won't quit-actually saw my yard a few days ago-now it is white again.

But the gray matches my mood- a grand for truck repairs yesterday and now the hot water heater is leaking and has to be replaced. CHA CHING!!!!

Great seeing you at Loveland. Didn't see any squirrels did you?

Sorry about the truck. I hate spending $$ on things like that. Squirrels? Nope
