Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Fall 03 model they are selling and the 04 model now in the stores?

Visually they look the same and the weight is the same at 14.5oz.

I think the materials are also identical.

For $50, who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just paid $40 for the Giro 9 MX a couple weeks ago!

That is a great price for that helmet.

I do have to say, however, that I'm amazed as to how different the shape of that helmet (the fuse) is, as compared to the Nine. I have the Nine in an XL, but after trying on the Fuse this past week, I found that the it doesn't fit my head in any size.

Sure it's a great price but not if you don't really need a new helmet. I have a Giro Nine and am very happy. This is tempting though. I appreciate the heads up that the fit is different. I guess I better go to my local shop and try one on this morninng. I wonder how long these will last...

I currently have a Boeri but I keep debating whether or not to get a Giro.

Everytime I hold my wife's nine 9 I tell myself I should get a lighter helmet.

Hopefully it fits my head.

I used to have a Giro Nine in size Large but cracked it this season after a hard fall

I tried on the Fuse and had the same problem as another poster, it just didn't fit in either the Large or even the XL - it's an entirely different shape

I ended up buying (and loving) the new 2005 Leedom Prophet helmet instead after finding a great deal on it at Snowleopard.biz for half price (retails for $140, bought it for $75)

for those of you who love your Giro Nine, when you decide to do the upgrade, take a serious look at the Leedom Prophet, but realize that you need to UPSIZE it by one size (I needed the XL)

it fits like a glove and has the same sliding airation features of the Fuse, but fits like the Nine

Two previous purchases both went flawlessly. Hoping third times a charm!

I just got mine today.

It fits my warped head perfectly.

Man my old helmet is heavy compared to this one.
