Thanks to Flexon Phil, I was able to try my new M9s this a.m. Conditions: Flat light, fog condensing on goggles, and Tuesday's nice dry corn had softened to the consistency of a big, slushy sno-cone -- exactly what causes me to pucker up, stiffen my downhill leg, and get caught in the back seat; in other words, perfect for an acid test. These skis did exactly what I got them for. They plowed right through the mounds of mashed potatoes and raised my confidence in sketchy conditions a whole level. I demoed them on hard snow, so I know their grip is plenty for me as well. Phil: The bindings release! And yes, with Neox bindings, these puppies ARE heavy.
