A group of coaches, here in NH, have a trip planned to ski Taos Ski Valley next week. Has anyone skied there recently. If so, can you share the quality of conditions and any suggestions for folks that haven't skied there before, ie-any special areas to ski that were especially good, bumps, steeps, powder, trees, etc???

Thanks --- whtmt & Mackenzie 911

If you can edit your Title to "TAOS" you might get more feedback.

No knowledge of recent conditions. I can tell you you're in for a great experience though. If you like steeps, then anything off the west basin or highline ridges will be sure to satisfy. Some of my favs were Trescow & Twin Trees, Staufenberg, Castor & Pollux. Don't be afraid of the hike - the best terrain and snow is off the ridges.

Thanks Stache for the heads up. So to correct my previous post in name, has anyone been to Taos recently. Can you suggest places to ski there and what are the snow conditions like? Thanks in advance for your response.
